Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AvenueSnipe ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our eBay dropshipping platform (the "Service"). AvenueSnipe operates from the United Kingdom and processes your information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
AvenueSnipe provides software to help eBay sellers with product discovery, product research, listing creation, pricing, monitoring, and supplier and product management.
You can contact us about this policy at [email protected].
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Early access request information — your name, email address, eBay store or username, and approximate listing volume when you request access.
- eBay connection data — when you connect your eBay account, we access your eBay listings, orders, and selling information through eBay’s API to provide the Service.
- Product and supplier data — product information, prices, and supplier details you import or manage in the Service.
- Usage data — technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the Service secure and functioning.
- Payment information — when you make a payment, your payment details are processed by a third-party payment provider; we do not store full card details on our servers.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and operate the Service, including creating and managing your account, syncing your eBay data, processing listings, running monitoring and repricing automation, and sending you service notifications.
We also use your information to respond to early access requests, support enquiries, and service-related communications, and to comply with our legal obligations.
4. Legal bases for processing
We process your information under the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you have agreed to use.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Service, and to respond to enquiries.
- Consent — where we ask for your consent, for example to send certain communications.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to process data by law.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only where necessary to provide the Service:
- eBay — when you connect your eBay account, we exchange data with eBay through its API to read listings, orders, and selling information.
- Service providers — hosting, email, and other services that help us operate the platform and process data on our instructions.
- Legal and regulatory bodies — where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards where we have a legitimate or legal reason to do so. Early access request information is kept only as long as needed to evaluate and respond to your request.
7. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection authority.
10. Cookies
We use only essential cookies to keep you signed in and the Service secure. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
